Founded by Optom. Abhinav Maharwal, Sight First Foundation was created to address the unmet needs in visual rehabilitation and pediatric optometry in India. We saw children struggling in silence — not because of lack of intelligence, but due to undiagnosed vision issues like CVI, convergence problems, and eye coordination disorders. Our mission is to fill that gap with empathy, expertise, and education.

The Man behind Sight First foundation
Abhinav Maharwal
Optometry Doctor, Optom. Abhinav Maharwal, brings a wealth of expertise in neuro vision, vision therapy, and specialty contact lenses. Having obtained his M.S in Clinical Optometry from Sankara Eye Hospital and B.S in Optometry from Shankara Nethralaya Chennai with distinction, he is a recipient of four gold medals. Dr. Maharwal holds memberships with prestigious organizations such as NORA-USA (Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association) and COVD-USA (College of Optometrists in Vision Development). With fellowships in Vision Therapy, Advanced Contact Lens, and Vision Rehabilitation, along with FASCO certification, he possesses an extensive skill set.
